Michael assists organisations and individuals to recover losses occasioned by fraud, professional misconduct or financial crime. He also represents clients accused of wrongdoing concerning fraud, professional misconduct or financial crime.
Before joining Duxton Hill, Michael was a Solicitor Advocate at The Office of Public Prosecutions for Victoria (OPP).
Michael worked in the Higher Court Appeals unit at the OPP where he prosecuted indictable crime appeals in the County Court and Supreme Court (Court of Appeal). He then moved into the specialised Proceeds of Crime unit where he had conduct of complex civil litigation relating to the confiscation of proceeds of crime. This work included the seizure of assets used to commit a crime or acquired through criminal activity, and to preserve assets for the purpose of compensating victims of crime.
