Rebecca Elphinstone


Rebecca is an Associate, admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia.

Rebecca principally assists organisations and individuals to recover money or other assets misappropriated by fraud, misconduct or financial crime. She also acts as an independent solicitor for search orders.

She has proven experience managing critical and large-scale projects under pressure and delivering positive outcomes on time. She has excellent communication and interpersonal skills which assist her to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Typical cases Rebecca has worked on include acting for an elderly person defrauded by a rogue financial adviser, assisting a company to issue proceedings against a former director for breach of trust and fiduciary duty, and managing a complex Supreme Court proceeding for a foreign corporation plaintiff against a former supplier of services who furnished false invoices.

Before coming to the law, Rebecca had a background in international sports, events and projects. Rebecca has also previously worked with small and large accounting firms, public and private corporations, the public sector and not-for-profit entities. Some of her previous roles include working at Nestlé Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Gallagher Bassett, Ambulance Victoria, Crown Casino and Mount Isa Mines.
